A loving homage from a self diagnosed Sunscreem Nutter.....Instantly purchased when first released in 1993, it's a good thing the debut album from Sunscreem is still available for purchase after 21 years (where did that go?). From track one to thirteen, O3 is a continuous montage/mixed rave up that is one of the defining releases from the second summer of love. I know because I was there.I was first exposed to the unique blend of dance/pop/techno created by Sunscreem when Sony Music gave me a promo of their single "Pressure" in 1992. It was an unusual song for its time BUT, and here's the crucial thing folks, it came already remixed for clubland in the form of the b-side "Release Me". A kind of harder dub version of the main song and it wasn't bad. I quietly added it to my set list. The next single sent my way, the previously released "Walk On" was a nice piano driven house tune not unlike a lot of tracks coming out of Italy at the time but instead of relying on vocal samples this was a proper song with original lyrics. As far as dance pop goes it's a beauty but not the kind of track you wanna hear at midnight. BUT fear not. It too came with a ready to go version for nighttime, the D-Cubed remix. I quietly added that one to my set list as well.Sony must've finally realised Sunscreem were on to something here because the next single "Love You More" was issued as a double 12" promo pack with no less than 9 completely different remixes. No matter what kind of a DJ you were and what style of music you played there was a mix of Love You More that was perfect for your genre. Hands in the air house, yep. Drum & Bass, yep. Straight up techno, got that covered too. This time around it was simultaneously released with a 5 track cd single which gave punters 4 of the awesome club mixes and a shorter pop song version for radio. What a killer track that song is. Still is. It's appearance here on the album comes in the form of a three track mega-mix combining two of the club versions and a newly mixed album version of the song proper. That segment of the album is worth the asking price alone. The remixed version of "Love You More" that appears here is stunning. In fact all the singles that were issued before the release of O3 have been tweaked and remixed for the album so that the whole thing runs through like a dj set. The album finishes with one of the most insane pieces of piano house ever put to tape appropriately titled "Psycho. Think of it as your dj's encore. I actually used it for that purpose a few times at the odd rave or final set for the night/morning. Needless to say it went off.If Sunscreem are known for just "Love You More" I'm ok with that. But there is so much more to this most unique band's catalogue that all I can do is urge you to investigate further. It's all bloody brilliant. After you're done with O3 check out the follow up "Change Or Die", it's just as impressive."Still You Know You Can Never Make Me Love You More...."

Nice info, thanks! You mention three mixes of Love U More, but I only see two versions – Doved Up and then the Slam mix. Is there another on this album?
